TEREA tobacco sticks have been developed specifically for the latest generation of IQOS – IQOS ILUMA, which can be purchased abroad. Do not use them as a replacement for HEETS sticks as they may damage your holder. The new holders are equipped with the innovative SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™, which heats the tobacco seamlessly and simultaneously from the inside and outside of the TEREA sticks, by means of induction.

 

TEREA tobacco sticks – what are they?

 

If you are on holiday, for example in Cyprus, Greece or Spain, you may have noticed that TEREA tobacco sticks are available in local kiosks. It may happen that you’ll see a box with such inscription from a foreign tourist or your guest who has travelled from abroad to visit Poland. As a user of IQOS ORIGINALS DUO holder or other versions of our holders, you need to know that TEREA sticks have been designed exclusively for the new generation of IQOS Iluma holders.

 

The devices’ new version has been developed according to the principles of SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™ technology, which heats the tobacco seamlessly and simultaneously from the inside and outside of the TEREA sticks. Inside the stick is a metal heating element coated with stainless steel, which ensures that the tobacco is heated seamlessly and that flavour experience during the draw is deeper. Users of ILUMA holders no longer need to remember to regularly clean their device from tobacco residue, because TEREA sticks are developed in such a way that they do not leave tobacco residue inside the device.

 

 

 

Where can I buy TEREA tobacco sticks?

 

TEREA sticks and IQOS ILUMA tobacco holders are available for regular sale in Spain, Greece, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Italy, Hungary, Lithuania, Slovakia and Cyprus.

 

TEREA tobacco sticks – how are they built?

 

At first glance, TEREA tobacco sticks look like HEETS tobacco sticks, but they differ in how they are designed. New generation sticks are constructed from the following parts:

 

• The heating element – an innovative metal heating element, coated with stainless steel and placed inside the tobacco stick for seamless heating of tobacco;
• The tobacco part – a carefully selected, finely ground and specially prepared tobacco blend;
• The front seal – keeps your IQOS ILUMA holder clean with no tobacco residue left inside the device and ensures easy insertion and extraction of the tobacco stick;
• The air-flow chamber – ensures that just the right amount of aerosol passes throughout the stick for a satisfying and easy draw;
• The cooling plug – cools down the aerosol temperature. It’s made of cellulose acetate, which delivers the best cooling efficiency yet;
• The protective wrap – our new protective paper wrap contributes to a cleaner experience after use;
• The filter – this part of the TEREA tobacco stick is your mouthpiece.

 

 

Please note that TEREA sticks are designed to be used only with ILUMA holders, which – unlike their predecessors from earlier generations – do not have the heating blade, but they work thanks to a modern induction system. Inserting a TEREA stick in other devices, such as the IQOS 3 DUO, may damage the heating blade and make the holder unusable.

 

How do TEREA tobacco sticks differ from HEETS tobacco sticks?

 

HEETS and TEREA sticks have one thing in common: they heat real tobacco without burning it. This produces an aerosol, not cigarette smoke. For the production of both versions of tobacco sticks, high-quality tobacco blends are used, the flavour and aroma of which, with varying intensities, are released during the heating process.

 

The difference between HEETS and TEREA tobacco sticks mainly lies in the use of different heating technologies. The former is heated using HEAT CONTROL technology, which heats the tobacco in the sticks to a specific temperature thanks to the heating blade. By contrast, the new IQOS ILUMA holders are equipped with the revolutionary induction system called SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™. It activates the stainless steel-coated metal heating element inside the TEREA sticks.

 

TEREA sticks are sealed on both ends, so that no tobacco residue remains inside the holder. This means that users of IQOS ILUMA holders can forget about having to clean the device from tobacco residue before each experience.

 

 

Are TEREA sticks compatible with IQOS ORIGINALS DUO and lil SOLID?

 

As TEREA tobacco sticks are based on a new technology, they are not compatible with IQOS ORIGINALS DUO, lil SOLID Ez and older versions of holders available in Poland. Inserting this stick in a device that works with the conventional HeatControl™ technology may damage its blade. The technology used in TEREA sticks is not compatible with the previous system, so if someone you know has TEREA sticks, you will not be able to use them. Also, if you see a pack of TEREA sticks in Cyprus or Greece, do not try it – ask for one of the available HEETS or Fiit variants.

 

TEREA sticks – just like HEETS – should not be burnt in the traditional way, but only used with a dedicated holder. Misuse may cause serious injury because there is a sharp metal part inside the stick. Both the holders and the sticks should be kept out of reach of children and pets.
