What do status lights on your IQOS ILUMA mean?

Are the lights on your IQOS ILUMA device glowing red? Are you afraid that they are signaling an issue with your device? Do you want to know what they mean? Use the Online Device Diagnostic Tool.

What do status lights on your IQOS ILUMA Holder mean?

Here’s a short guide that will help you understand the meaning of status lights on your Holder:

  1. Pulsing white lights:
    A) They mean that your Holder is preheating a tobacco stick,
    B) They are informing you that your experience is going to end shortly.
    Additionally: if the device was exposed to excessively warm or cold temperatures, you may need to wait a few minutes for your IQOS to return to the appropriate operating temperature, i.e. between 0°C and 40°C. 
  2. Solid white lights after a short press of the Holder button:
    These lights indicate the charge status of your device. 
    A) 2 glowing lights – your Holder is ready for 2 uses.
    B) 1 light — your Holder is ready for a single use.
  3. Flashing red light:
    A) Your device might need a RESET 
    B) Firmware update has not been successfully completed.

  4. Flashing orange/yellow light: 
    Your device needs to be charged.

What do status lights on your IQOS ILUMA Pocket Charger mean?

Here’s a short guide that will help you understand the meaning of status lights on your Pocket Charger:

  1. Pulsing white light:
    It means that your IQOS ILUMA might have been exposed to a temperature outside the appropriate operating temperature range. Wait a few minutes for your device to return to the appropriate temperature, i.e. between 0°C and 40°C.
  2. IQOS ILUMA lights are flashing red:
    A) ROUND light – flashing on the Pocket Charger means low battery level of the Holder.
    B) STRIP light – your device needs a RESET. Detailed information on how to properly RESET your device can be found here.
  3. Light flashing yellow/orange:
    Your device needs to be charged. 
    A 15-minute charging session should be enough for the yellow light to disappear.
  4. Round lights pulsing white: 
    Your Holder is being charged.
  5. Round lights glowing with a solid white light after a short press of the Pocket Charger button: 
    These lights indicate the charge status of your Holder:
    A) 2 lights – 2 uses available,
    B) 1 light – single use available.
  6. Strip lights glowing solid white after a short press of the Pocket Charger button:
    These lights indicate the charge status of your Pocket Charger:
    A) 4 strip lights – the Pocket Charger is more than 75% charged,
    B) 3 strip lights – the Pocket Charger is 50% - 75% charged,
    C) 2 strip lights – the Pocket Charger is 25% - 50% charged, 
    D) 1 strip light – the Pocket Charger is less than 25% charged.
